We are currently seeking applicants for a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines, ensuring quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and dietary requirements.
- Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen according to health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and food storage.
- Collaborate with dietary staff to meet patient and resident needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
- Applicants must be able to manage tasks timely and efficiently, follow ServSafe rules and regulations, and work well independently and with other staff and patients.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

Faulkton Area Medical Center is an independent, non-profit, 12-bed Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic. We are located along SD HWY 212 in Faulkton, SD serving a diverse population of 3,000 within a 60 mile radius. FAMC is one of the few independent hospitals left in the state of South Dakota.
